NOT SEEN THAT BEFORE...in January

After seeing Lottie's brilliant "Photo A Day" yesterday of a rarely seen sight and having myself previously posted a photo of something I'd never seen before in our garden; I decided to do a "not seen that before" posting of any other plants that were behaving uncharacteristically (wow a 20 letter word!).

Two different Osteospernums in flower

Sedum and Rosemary in flower

Veronica and Oxalis in flower

Feverfew and Candytuft in flower

Bedding Begonia still alive and in flower

Ending with something I did expect to see; Hellebore in flower.

  1. It has been a strange "winter-that wasn't". Normally, where I live we'd be slogging through a couple of feet of snow (60 to 90 centimeters as a mininmum by now) and have blisteringly cold days. This year, I'm working in my garden in a t-shirt in January. My honeysuckle looks ready to bloom, my daisies have are shooting up, and my magnolia looks ready to burst into bloom. Strange days indeed!
