ALL BEFORE BREAKFAST

I got up extra early this morning; rain was forcast for later in the day and I wanted to catch some more rays

The blackbird high on the roof tops was singing his heart out

The bees were already at work

gathering their own breakfast

This cheeky snail has found a way across the coffee grounds barrier

and for my breakfast...poached eggs will do fine.

I particulary like those flowers at the bottom. Just yellow and white but there's something entrancing about their pattern. What are they called? And are they perennial?

  3. Hi Gleds; the plants is Limnanthes douglasii, commonly known as poached egg plant and Douglas' meadowfoam. It's a hardy annual and self seeds very easily.

  4. Mmmmmmmm, your poached eggs look delicious! Where's my knife and fork? ;-)

Oh those snails and slugs, what a bother they can be in the garden!

Lovely pics! A singing blackbird is always nice. What would our gardens be without all the birds and their songs?

I have never seen these pretty flowers before. They are just lovely. Great action shots of the bee.

I think the bees look really funny with their bums sticking out of the flowers!
