Hi Ruth, It's a Comma butterfly, it gets it's name from the white comma you can see on its underwing. I'm suprised it hasnt got an umbrella with it, with the amount of rain we are having. It's funny how only last week everyone was hoping for rain and now as it hasn't stopped for a week how we want the sun back.
On a completely seperate note could you tell me where you got the solar powered dragonflies from , as i think they would look fantastic dotted around my garden. Cheers Mark

ReplyDeleteYou do get some weird looking plants down in suffolk dont you? ;o)

Hi Ruth,....A " Happy Mother's Day " to you....I think it is a moth.
ReplyDeleteI am up for today. Baba
that's a fantastic moth!!
ReplyDeleteWow, isn't that butterfly/moth beautiful! I had to look really closely, it looks like a piece of bark.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool looking butterfly.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a chunck of wood.
Happy Sunday.
Ruth, that's amazing -- what a cool photo! Is it a beneficial moth or butterfly?
