THEN THERE WERE TWO!

It's just like British buses....you get tagged for one meme and two come along! This one is courtesy of Mauigirl;


1. What do you hope to accomplish with your blog?
I don't think I want to specifically ACCOMPLISH anything; I hope that my blogs will be of interest to people; maybe some will find this gardening blog useful, maybe Million Stories will be of interest to others going through a similar situation....but basically my blogs are just an online diary.


2. Are you a spiritual person?
I like the odd Brandy....LOL. Seriously I don't think I'm spiritual in the God sense of the word (although I did have a strict C of E upbringing). I like to think that I'm on this earth for a reason rather than just by a scientific fluke ...and I have great respect for Mother Nature and the wonder of a tiny seed becoming a mighty oak.


3. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want to have with you?
Things implies I can't include people so...


a box of matches to light the first fire (not sure how good I'd be at rubbing to sticks together or relying on the sun and a magnifying glass)

a good sharp large knife

a large flagon of fresh water (will hopefully keep me going until I find some on the island)

4. What's your favorite childhood memory?
When I was about 13 we were camping in Italy. The campsite was right on the beach and when I went swimming I was surrounded by baby turtles and seahorses. It was the most incredible and fascinating experience.

5. Is this your first meme?
I think I've done 4 on this blog and one on Million Stories.

Doing two memes in a row makes it hard to think of who to tag and who may have done this particular meme before; so I spun a coin..................

    Hi Ruth, loved your answers. LOL about the brandy, good answer!

    And between your replies and Martta's, I realize my 3 things for the deserted island were not ideal. She picked fishing pole (I'd much prefer to fish than kill small game with my bow and arrow) and you picked a knife - much better idea than the tent. With a knife I could make a shelter as well as do other things with it.

    Will ponder hard on my 5 pet peeves - at least that's any easy one to answer! To your point, the hard part is honing it down to only 5!
