GREEN THUMB SUNDAY - AGHHHHHH!

I haven't been troubled much by Vine Weevil so far this year but yesterday I found this beastie crawling down the door frame...............Although the adults do no more damage than chomp bites out of leaves (the Rhododendrons in our garden are usually hit), the grubs devour the roots of my fuchsias and other containerised plants. I've many a time seen an African Violet collapse and upon inspection found the brown headed grubs in the soil. In the past I've used either biological nematode products or Pravado Vine Weevil Killer (if you use the latter please don't use it on edible plants).

  2. It's sort of like our Agave Snout Weevil. Stealth attack to the roots, and one day, the whole plant collapses, without warning.
