ABC WEDNESDAY - Q

abc wednesday

Q IS FOR QUIZ
Anagrams can be fun; sometimes they can even vaguely relate to the actual words. Here are a few for you to try (with a clue);
Example: WOMAN HITLER.............MOTHER-IN-LAW

  1. ADRENAL GROAN (American President)

  2. THAT GREAT CHARMER (English Prime minister)

  3. I AM A WEAKISH SPELLER (English playwright)

  4. ANGEL OF THE RECLINING (a famous nurse)

  5. HERE COME DOTS (transmitting information)

  6. OH SWEET DVD WINS NEW FANS HEARTS (children's fairytale)

  7. OLD WEST ACTION (Hollywood actor)

  8. ON ANY SCREEN (James Bond)

  9. SEEN ALIVE? SORRY PAL (famous American singer)

  10. A THIN MAN RAN, MAKES A LARGE STRIDE, LEFT PLANET, PINS FLAG ON MOON, ON TO MARS (famous quotation)

Apologies to anyone who did this quiz on my old Quiz Blog.

If any fellow ABCers are not on my blogroll please let me know in my comment box.

P.S. If you can please drop by the Wiggly Podcast and hear Mark The Green Fingered Photographer...a great listen!!!!!!

Talking of anagrams, do you like Countdown? It's so much better than it used to be now drab old Des Lynam gave way to Des O'Connor... I still miss Richard Whiteley tho!

Just to let you know that I am thoroughly enjoying this quiz. Can't get a single answer, as I was never into cryptic crosswords, but it has got me thinknig about somethig different, and that is no bad thing.
