A THURSDAY THOUGHT
WHY DO THE NUMBERS ON PHONES GO DOWN
WHILE THE NUMBERS ON CALCULATORS GO UP?
That'll give me something to think about and take my mind off where I'm going today....here's a clue.................
Something else that gave me food for thought was Max-e's ABC Wednesday post L is for Landmines.......a reminder of the monstrous legacy that still lies in our earth.

hi Ruth, arrghh the dentist, good luck! Thanks for the info re the CD, I wrote you a reply on e-mail, but my landline has been out of order for 3 days, grrrrrr and I can receive e-mail on my cellphone but not send, for some obscure reason, so it will arrive in due course when Telkom finally get their act together and fix my phone!
The mind boggles . . . lol
The Landmine post is excellent in reminding us that sometimes we take our safety for granted x x
Ouch! I always don't want to go to the dentist too. Visiting from Tom Wigley's place. I like your food for thought on the phone and calulator.
Re calculators/phones, I've often wondered precisely the same thing myself...
Oh Ruth I don't envy you going to the dentist - I'm terrified when I go for a check up! Hope it won't be too bad.
Your food for thought - very interesting.
I'm becoming increasingly worried about what you spend the day thinking about! lol.
Oh, poor you, I hope you got on ok at the dentist! {{HUGS}}
Isn't it wonderful though when you have visited the dentist - had any repair work done - and he says those magical words - see you in 6 months time.
I positively skip out of the room and down the stairs and out the door!
No I didn't skip paying - you have to do that on your first visit!
Was your appointment at 'tooth-hurty' (2.30)
Hope the dentist visit went as well as can be expected...xx
The numbers thing in your thought for the day, has always frustrated me. You would think the folks that design these things would be consistent. Unless there is a scientific reason for it..?
hugs
