Earlier this year I went to the local school to help dig over the Memorial Garden...you may remember these photos............................

well yesterday the "much more fun" job of planting and spreading the chip bark had to be done. there were far more willing victims volunteers this time and it only took a couple of hoursto transform it to this...........................

Won't the children be surprised when they go to school on Monday!!!!!

I can imagine their little faces, full of wonder at what is there before them. Even if just one finds the inspiration to learn more of plants and gardening it's a job well done.

That looks great. It's wonderrful to nurture a garden of your own, but to be able to give gardens to other people is really special.

Do you know at first I thought they were making a gymkhana! I once got chucked of a horse onto chip bark... it's very springy!!

That looks like a full day's work for a lot of people! School gardens are a wonderful learning tool and sometimes the start of a lifelong love of plants. Now that's a worthwhile cause! Happy GTS,
