WHAT A LOVELY DAY! (weather not included)

I hope all you Mums had a lovely day yesterday. I know I did. I had all three of my girls here at some point in the day (Rob is in South Africa at the moment) though poor Leanne had a terrible time getting here. She only lives 25 minutes away by car but the public transport system is terrible. There are no buses on a Sunday and so she had to come by train. She left home at 9am and was at the station in plenty of time for the train (the last time she missed the train because the bus from her house was so late). The train arrived 12 minutes late which meant she would miss her connection to Sudbury! Then to make matters worse the train broke down and she had to get off and wait for a replacement! By the time she got to Marks Tey the connecting train had left and she had to then wait another 30 minutes for the next one. Luckily Lynn was here to pick her up from Sudbury Station and she finally got here at 11.45....2 hours and 45 minutes after she'd left home!!!!!!
Our 3 little maids; Manda, Leanne and Lynn

I had some lovely cards; real tears in the eyes ones
and new jeans

the Ben Mills CD........drool
and a mushroom growing kit...Talj will be jealous!
in fact the only blight on the day was the weather! Snow, Hail, High Winds and Thunder!!!!

When I think back to Saturday when we sat in the garden saying how warm it was!!!!...well no wonder we British are always talking about the weather!!!

How lovely to have nearly all your family around you!!! The Uk is probably one of the few countries that can have all seasons of weather in one day!!!!!!!

First of all {{{BIG HUGS}}} xx Lovely to see Leanne in there too....we need to drag her round next time :o) So glad you had such a nice day!! You would have laughed at us yesterday! We managed to do all the shopping and as we emerged out of Asda.....there was a blizzard ourside....really...so Andrew dashed off to the car and left me standing under the shelter....not that it was much use, I was frozen and snowed on by the time he pulled up to collect me! We drove home struggling to see with the snow. When we pulled into the car park here the snow stopped and sun burst out of the clouds.....we didn't mutter any swear words....honest lol

I do hope you are growing those....erm...delicious...'shrooms for our next visit? ;o)

Have a wonderful day Ruth {{{BIG HUGS}}} to Mick too xxxx

You should have seen me running up and down the garden in the blizzard bringing in all the seedlings from the plastic greenhouse so that they didn't get cold! Real brass monkey weather!!!
Talj; the "shrooms" could well be ready just in time for your next visit!
Hugs to you all

Happy belated Mother's Day. As Mother's Day is in May here in S.A., I did not realise it is earlier in the UK.

Also enjoyed your post about the visit with Talj and Andi.

Hope the weather improves soon.

Stay well

Ah! Public transport, now isn't that something the government has had as one of it’s pet projects for the past 10 years along with hospitals? It makes you wonder why we bother with cars. Can’t imagine why its still so crap, probably a similar reason as to why I can’t seem to get three packs of seed potatoes delivered from Devon!

I’m pleased to see you are going to be trying your hand at growing some mushrooms, I’m sure you will find them fun.
