DAISIES FOR DAISY
The daisy follows soft the sun,
And when his golden walk is done,
Sits shyly at his feet.
He, waking, finds the flower near.
"Wherefore, marauder, art thou here?"
"Because, sir, love is sweet!"
We are the flower, Thou the sun!
Forgive us, if as days decline,
We nearer steal to Thee,--
Enamoured of the parting west,
The peace, the flight, the amethyst,
Night's possibility!

What a lovely tribute poem to Daisy, whom I didn't know. This is the second one I've read today. she sounds as if she was wonderful person.
Loved the photos of the lizard. How exciting is that?
Daisies are my favourite flowers!
I've been trying to get rid of my perennial daisies for the past few years. They just seem to take over everything. But they keep coming back and I do love them when they are flowering. They are so reliable and it's easy enough to just reef out half of them to keep them under control, I guess.
What a beautiful picture and poem, RIP Daisy xx
This is lovely Ruth.
I have just written my account of Friday over on my blog!
My blog looks strange...will have to check it later, as now it is time to get ready for my BBQ!
