NEW BLOOM NEWS

For one reason or another I've not managed to get out into the garden the last couple of days; I had a nice surprise this morning when I found that many plants that were in bud at the beginning of the week are now in bloom! I always find those "first" blooms of each flower exciting with their promise of more to come...............

I managed to take these photos before it started raining....it's really quite heavy now..I hope it stops later; after 2 days of neglect there's a lot of deadheading to do!

Dear Ruth - thanks for your message. Sorry to hear your daughter is having back trouble and hope she is soon well. Your flowers are really beautiful and I loved the photo of the dragonfly. My daughter tried to take a pic of one last week, but it wouldnt stay still long enough. Take care of yourself (I'll add your link to my blog so I can keep up to date with your doings and your daughters garden. Mary

Well done with all of them (the photos and the flowers). They look like they're from a seed catalogue!

Beautiful flowers Ruth. I've just noticed my peonies are out so I'm going to take some photos.

Hi Ruth,
Thanks for visiting my acers. We do have very acidic soil here in the Pacific Northwest, our azalea and rhododendron displays are amongst the best in the world.
My Johnson's blue is blooming too. Love the slide show.

Beautiful photos of beautiful flowers, Ruth.

Will visit all your blogs this weekend and read all I have been missing in the past weeks.

I also have a recipe which uses glycerine - I think there are many variations on this liqueur recipe.
