SAY HI TO THE PETS
Have just been reading Mauigirls latest posts. It was very moving. It made me realise that I haven't introduced our family's pets. Mick and I don't actually have any pets of or own except for the goldfish, the frogs, the newts, the bees, the birds, the butterflies, the ............................................ (get the idea?).
This Max. He belongs to Lynn and Steve. What a delight he is. He has a lovely way of snuggling up to you and when ever he comes to stay is VERY protective of his Grandad Mick. On one occasion he sat under Micks wheelchair and we were trying to get the hoist in to get Mick out of the chair; there was no way he way going to move. He is very understanding of the fact that we put a child's stair gate across the kitchen door so that he cant get into the garden. Our garden is quite small and (with so many plants) we have no grass or doggy playing space. His breeds natural habit is DIGGING and so he has to resign himself to just sitting gazing through the bars. We do make sure that he gets some nice long walks to make up for it though.
This is Rocky. He belongs to Chris, Manda and Nicole. He came from an animal sanctuary and is quite a character. He follows Chris and co when they come round to our house (they only live 10 minutes away) or if Chris goes to boxing or over the shops. Sometimes, if he is out on the prowl when they leave home to come round to our house, he will magically arrive on the doorstep to walk them home. How he knows they are here I don't know!
Leanne and co also have a cat; called Scarlet, she is a real lazy, stay at home cat and is quite a size. Unfortunately I have no photos of her at the moment - or of their pet hamster. I shall have to make a point of getting some and adding them at a later date.
As for OUR pets; well they deserve a post all of their own. At the moment I'm still working on my A to Z posts but WATCH THIS SPACE as OUR PETS could turn up when you least expect it.
