CHILLY AND CHILLI
The weather forecast was right; it was a chilly night last night. Lovely sunrise though. I have decided that as I have quite a few chillies going red that I will chop some up and put into one of the jars of pickled onions. It will be interesting to see if we notice a difference in flavour between the two jars. I don't think I've mentioned that we are also making some Sloe Gin. The sloes were picked quite early this year (a case of had to do it while we were there in case we didn't get out that way again) and had not been frosted. Once they have had a frost on them it helps increase the natural sugars in the sloes. I am hoping that by adding a little extra sugar that I have compensated for it. I am sure the family will let me know at Christmas.
