PHOTO HUNTER'S THEME - SHINY

This is my first photohunter's post...the object is to post one of your own photos on a particular theme. This weeks theme is SHINY....well with the gloomy weather here today nothing looks particularly shiny! and I was struggling a bit. Then I remembered that since I've had my digital camera and have been able to try some macro shots that I'd noticed how shiny some insects and their wings are. My photo files saved the day and so here is a photo of a shiny wasp wing.

That is beautiful! I wish I had known about "macro" lens when I bought my digital camera just over 5 years ago. I loved your choice for shiny!

Come see my shiny photo.

PS I almost used my dragonfly but decided to use it for another theme instead later.

Welcome to the photo hunt and what a glorious picture to start with! I can do the dragonflies but the bees still scare me a little. I did get a shot of one last summer who was literally drunk on nectar, too blasted to climb out of the flower! Great photo!
