SCHOOLS OUT FOR THE SUMMER
Well all the schools in our area have broken up for the Summer holidays yesterday. The one that Manda works at was having a BBQ and Pool party so I was really pleased that the torrential downpour stopped in time or there would have been some soggy burgers on offer! Manda had so many gifts given to her by the children who were leaving the school; next term they'll be in the local Middle School. Manda admitted that a few tears were shed by both herself and the children. I got quite choked up too when she gave me a Thank You card from the children for the help I'd given them on a couple of school trips. It had a photo of the class on the front and all the children had signed it........
After all the torrential rain I didn't have to worry about watering the baskets; even they had had a good soaking...I always check them and the containers after rain as often with the dense planting the rain doesn't manage to get through.

You can see from the following photos how the sky cleared...you'd never believe it had been pouring just a few hours before. There were a couple of these dragonflies flitting about....
Guess I'm not the only one who loves this Clematis........
I'm hoping the weather stays fine and dry this evening. Manda and I are going to take a walk up to an old church to do some bat and badger spotting. The bats we will no doubt be sure of seeing but it will be sheer to see a badger.
