A LOAD OF T.A.T. (tag, award, thought)

For those of you on UK time who have come to this THURSDAY post on Wednesday evening......No the sun, sand and sea haven't addled my mind.......I just knew I'd be "cream crackered" tonight and so had pre-written most of this post in readiness. I have to leave home at 6.30am in the morning; the fresh air today has given me an appetite so I must eat; the hanging baskets have gone into complete SHOCK at the sign of so much sun so need watering and I must get an early night. For now I'll just say I've had a fabulous day; there ARE photos and I'm sure I'll be taking more tomorrow so will catch up with some BEACH posts Friday or Saturday.
CALAMITY JANE has tagged me; I know I said "NO TAGS" but I did promise that I'd do this one.

What you have to do is raid Wikipedia for information pertaining to your birth date (enter your day and month of birth into the search feature on the left of their main page). Then add the following list;
Sarge Charlie
Comedy Plus
Us Danes
Medication Time
Me, My Life, My Garden

chop the top person off (OUCH!) and add your blog's name on the bottom. Then list 3 events, 2 births and 1 holiday that happen/ed on your birthdate. Finally tag 5 other people.

Events

1397 - Geoffrey Chaucer tells the Canterbury Tales for the first time at the court of Richard II. Chaucer scholars have also identified this date (in 1387) as when the book's pilgrimage to Canterbury starts.

1924 - Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios is formed from a merger of Metro Pictures, Goldwyn Pictures, and the Louis B. Mayer Company.

1984 - Police Constable Yvonne Fletcher is killed by gunfire from the Libyan People's Bureau in London during a small demonstration outside the embassy. Ten others are wounded. The events lead to an 11-day siege of the building.

Births

Shaun Mark Bean (drool) (born 17 April 1959 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England) is an English film and stage actor. He has also acted in a number of television productions as well as performing voice work for computer games and television adverts. As an actor, he adopted the Irish/Scottish spelling "Sean" of his first name.
Sean is well known for his role as Boromir in the The Lord of the Rings films and as James Bond's adversary Alec Trevelyan in Goldeneye. His portrayal as Richard Sharpe in the tv series Sharpe has also earned him high acclaim in the United Kingdom.

Victoria Beckham (née Adams), (born April 17, 1974 in Goff's Oak, Hertfordshire, England) is an English Singer, Songwriter, Fashion Designer and Television Personality. She was part of the successful pop group Spice Girls and was dubbed 'Posh Spice'. Her fashion style has made her a well-known style icon and has listed her among the "best dressed ladies." She is also known for being married to British football player David Beckham. Her career and marriage to David Beckham have made her both the fifty-second richest woman in Britain and the six hundred and nineteenth richest person in Britain with husband David, with an estimated joint wealth of £112 million. It is rumoured that she will have a cameo role in season two of the US sitcom Ugly Betty.

Holiday

World Hemophilia Day. Haemophilia or hemophilia is the name of several hereditary genetic illnesses that impair the body's ability to control coagulation.

As you all know by now I really don't enjoy tagging people; I'm always worried about leaving someone out who really wants to play along or that I'll put someone in who abhors doing this sort of thing. Rather than let the tag down I've just picked 5 people who happened to comment on my post on my birthday this year......purely bad luck of the draw: but please remember it's not compulsory;
TALJ
CG
A WILDLIFE GARDENER
UKBOB
JEANETTE

I've also been given another *Schmoozer Award; this time by AKELAMULA...............

If you haven't ever visited her blog you've missed a treat....just click on the award above to pay her a visit...she's one of the Schmooziest Bloggers I know.

*. ."schmoozing is the natural ability to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection.” Good schmoozers effortlessly weave their way in and out of the blogsphere, leaving friendly trails and smiles, happily making new friends along the way. They don’t limit their visits to only the rich and successful, but spend some time to say hello to new blogs as well. They are the ones who engage others in meaningful conversations, refusing to let it end at a mere hello - all the while fostering a sense of closeness and friendship".

Not really significant at all, but I moved down to Suffolk on that day in 1984, it was a very special day for me, I still live in the same house, and have never regreted coming to live in such a lovely place!

I was so disappointed when Sean Bean played 007's adversary, I had him down to be James Bond one day, and realised then it would never happen :-( Hope you enjoyed your days at the beach!
