Excellent caption, I can just hear them arguing who was there first. Or is that the girls fighting upstairs again?? Only another 4 1/2 weeks of summer holidays to go!

I love your macro pics x x

Great photo! I wish I had a camera with a good enough macro to take such shots.

Ruth, I envy your great photography skills. It is a joy to view the wonderful photography on your blog. I need to get serious with my camera and buy some lenses to do closeup work. Where does time go? Never enough hours in my day to get everything done that I need and want to do.

Best regards. Thanks for your comments on my blog. Jon

are they not common bluebottles? did you take that shot? that is amazing. does your camera have antishake thing on it? wow.

I have a question: i just bought a glass droplet full of plants. one has large serrated dark green leaves and tiny budlike flowers in pinky white (they're budlike even when open) the leaves are way way bigger than the flowers... do you happen to know what it is? i asked on my blog then thought i'd better ask you here as it would have sounded a bit rude ...

Thanks for all the nice comments; my camera is just a Nikon Coolpix so nice and small to fit in my handbag :o) Gleds I think your plant could be a Kalanchoe (Flaming Katy)...have answered on your blog too.

One way would definitely be prudent, but what does a fly know! Great pic.

D'you know what the one on the left is telling the one on the right? ``Buzz off.''

Very cool picture! I can't imagine what kind of cameras people must have to get such great pics. Of course it could just be that I don't have a clue how to work a camera or something, lol.
